Biography

Rose’s love of vintage music started at an early age. Watching Doris Day, Judy Garland and Marilyn Monroe ignited a childhood passion that later moved on to exploring the roots and path of jazz.

After gaining her Performing Arts Degree, Rose spent time working in bands and as a session singer but was always drawn back to the big band, swing sounds she grew up with.

Rose concentrated on perfecting the songs she saw in films and later fell in love with the likes of Billie Holiday, Ella Fitzgerald, and Peggy Lee. Listening to jazz, blues and swing, Rose found new artists such as Postmodern Jukebox, Caro Emerald and Imelda May hugely inspiring and added to her ever-expanding repertoire of songs.

Rose Devine began performing as a vintage vocalist in 2014 and hasn’t stopped working since. She is known not only for her natural retro sound, but her vast collection of authentic outfits always adds to a timeless performance.

Rose has enjoyed having a busy and varied diary including performances at the prestigious festivals, stately homes, proms in the park,  Hollywood balls, weddings, parties, and corporate events throughout the country. She has also recorded her first album, Vintage Jazz which is available at gigs.

At the last National Vintage Awards Rose was nominated and in the final 3 for ‘The Best Vintage Style Performer’ category. To be considered amongst the very best of all vintage vocalists across the UK is a testament to the hard work she has put in to create an authentic retro performance.

Whether you are looking for a singer for your Party, Wedding, Festival or Corporate Event, Rose will be happy to entertain.
